G.O.A.T. The Greatest of All Time – Jesus is Greater
June 30, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Hebrews 1:1-4| Theme: The story of God is the story of the One who is greater than all others. It is the story of the One who all others point to. It is the story of the One who no others compare to. Simply put, the story of God is the story of the GOAT – Jesus!

MEET GENERATION Z – From one generation to another
June 16, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Luke 15:11-32| Theme: Many of the father-child pictures in the bible are less than perfect; often they are awkward and fragmented. God gives us pictures in the bible, however, of the perfect love and fatherhood of God. Every part of our lives flows out of this orientation – God is our Father.
MEET GENERATION Z – From one generation to another
June 9, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Judges 2:6-12 | Theme: God’s desire is that the story of God moves powerfully from one generation to another. That one generation would help another generation be captured by knowing God.
MEET GENERATION Z – Let the Children Come
June 2, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Mark 10:13-16 | Theme: It is a primary responsibility of disciples of Jesus to remove all hindrances that keep children from coming to Jesus. What are the hindrances and how do we eliminate them?

ALL WHO ARE WEARY – Learning to keep pace with Jesus
May 19, 2019 | Pastor Matt Myers
Scripture: Luke 5:16, Mark 1:35, Matthew 14:23 | Theme: In the midst of the modern age we want more, use more, own more, and endlessly seek to achieve more. Jesus models the ancient practice of slowing down, finding solitude and offering an alternative pace that serves to break the restless cycle and find rest for the soul. As we learn to keep pace with Jesus we may just find the love, joy, and peace that mark his reality.
ALL WHO ARE WEARY – Fighting through the Distractions
May 12, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Luke 10:38-42 | Theme: None of us can escape the constant demands and distractions that confront us. People. Technology. Kids. Expectations. It is relentless. How do we find a rhythm of health and rest in the midst of a busy and demanding world?
ALL WHO ARE WEARY – A Sabbath Rest
May 5, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Mark 2:23-28, Genesis 2:1-3, Exodus 20:8-11 | Theme: The world constantly pushes and pulls us. It demands of us. Time. Technology. Work. Expectations. Distractions. It leads us to exhaustion. In that place, Jesus invites us to return to a rhythm of creation and Sabbath that honours the limits of how we are created and honours the God who created us.
ALL WHO ARE WEARY – Rest for my weary soul
April 28, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Matthew 11:28-30 | Theme: The bible honestly confronts the reality of a weary and worn down humanity. A world of emotional scars, mental health, shame, unanswered hopes and pain. In those places, Jesus stands before us and declares, ‘Come to me all who are weary’. He offers us more than rest. He offers us restoration.
April 21, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Acts 9:3-9, John 20:19 | Theme: Paul experienced the resurrected Jesus and it forever changed him. Paul’s testimony, along with so many other men and women throughout time, is the foundation upon which we stand. On Resurrection Sunday, we bring our testimony.
JESUS + NOTHING – Gospel Love
April 14, 2019 | Pastor Matt Myers
Scripture: Galatians 5:25-6:1-18 | Theme: The Gospel transforms how we understand ourselves and therefore how we relate to others. We are empowered to put others first through self-giving love and service, just as Jesus did for us.
April 7, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Galatians 5:16-25 | Theme: Many of us prefer to run from conflict, but Paul wants us to know that we grow as we battle. It is the Holy Spirit confronting our fleshly desires that leads us to be conformed to the image of Jesus. As this unfolds over time, we increasingly bear the fruit of the gospel.
March 31, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Galatians 5:1-15 | Theme: In the most definitive way possible, Paul tells us that Jesus’ mission was an operation of liberation. If we’re not careful however, our freedom in Jesus can slip through our fingers. Paul’s sets out to show us how to experience our freedom.

JESUS + NOTHING – Gospel Transformation
March 17, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Galatians 3:1-25 | Theme: The gospel is not simply how we are saved, it is also the means by which we grow in our faith. We grow and thrive by allowing the Holy Spirit to apply the gospel to every area of our life, moment by moment.
JESUS + NOTHING - Gospel Transformation
JESUS + NOTHING – Gospel Unity
March 10, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Galatians 2:1-21 | Theme: A Christian in Canada has far more in common with a gospel-believer in Mongolia than he does with a non-believer who lives on his street, dresses like him and drives a similar car. What unites Christians is the grace and hope we experience in Jesus. We never allow cultural differences of dress, customs or preferences to become moral absolutes that obscure our gospel unity.
JESUS + NOTHING - Gospel Unity
JESUS + NOTHING – Gospel Fight
March 3, 2019 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Galatians 1:1-9 | Theme: Paul was not a mathematician, but he understood a basic gospel calculation: to add to Jesus was to subtract Jesus altogether. Any gospel revision, however small, makes the gospel null and void (Tim Keller). That is Paul’s concern in his letter to the Galatians. Paul confronts and fights against substitute versions of the gospel that have no power to save us, restore us or erupt worship in us.
JESUS + NOTHING - Gospel Fight

SENT – The Story of Jonah
February 10, 2019 | Pastor Daren Young

SENT - The Story of Jonah

Scripture: Joshua 10:5-14 | Theme: God told Joshua to be strong and courageous in leading the people into the promised land. As they fought battles to secure the land, Joshua would learn what it meant to depend on God and be courageous; courageous not simply in battle, but in prayer. HELP – The Story of Hannah
January 13, 2019 | Pastor Daren Young
Scripture: 1 Samuel 1:1-28 | Theme: The bible is filled with men and women who cried out desperately to God for help. Hannah was a barren second wife – ridiculed and humiliated by the wife who easily bore children. Hannah wept and pleaded with God for a son, promising to give him back to the Lord. God would answer her prayer, but her story is not primarily defined by the son she would bare, but the God she would encounter in her brokenness.
HELP - The Story of Hannah
January 6, 2019 | Pastor Matt Myers
Scripture: Mark 8:31-38 | Theme: This Sunday, as we turn the page to 2019, we want to pause and remember what is of first importance in the life of faith. Jesus has shown us a new way to live that unnerves the status quo and invites us to reconsider our vision of the good life.

Love Does - An Invitation to the With God life
LOVE DOES – Introduction
November 25th, 2018 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Luke 1:26-38 | Theme: At Christmas (and from the beginning), God did not simply think about or plan to restore all things, he did it. In expected and unexpected ways God shows us in the incarnation what love looks like in action; and that action shows us about how much our God loves us.
Love Does - Introduction

God’s plan for restoring all things was the multiplication of disciples, leaders and churches.
We are MULTIPLYING

We are ONE GENERATION
WE ARE IN THE DIRT
October 21st, 2018 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: John 9:1-15 | Theme: This week we focus on our fifth DNA statement: We are in the dirt … we practice the way of Jesus in the everyday – in our work, relationships, money and rest. Jesus’ invitation isn’t a call to learn rules or beliefs; but a call to learn his ways and restore his presence to every broken place.
We are IN THE DIRT
WE ARE AUTHENTIC + SAFE
October 14th, 2018 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Luke 7:36-50 (reference to Matthew 11:25-12:21) | Theme: This week we focus on our fourth DNA statement: We are Authentic + safe … we live vulnerably, giving one another permission to be real. It was in all our her weariness and shame and weakness that a broken woman came to the feet of Jesus; and in that authenticity (and because of that authenticity) she encountered the heart of God and the fullness of the gospel.
We are AUTHENTIC + SAFE
WE ARE MERCY + JUSTICE
October 7th, 2018 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Luke 4:14-21 | Theme: This week we focus on our seventh DNA statement: We are Mercy + justice … we partner with others in protecting the powerless and caring for the hurting. When Jesus began his ministry, his first ‘sermon’ focused on his commitment to bring mercy + freedom to the poor, captives, disabled and oppressed. Jesus came for those in need. So do we.
We are MERCY + JUSTICE
WE ARE TRUE COMMUNITY
September 23rd, 2018 | Pastor Matt Myers
Scripture: Genesis 2:7-9, John 13, Acts 2 | Theme: This week we take a look at our second DNA statement: We are True Community… we desire everyone known and needed, resisting the pull of mere attending. From the outset of the Bible, humanity hears an invitation to create life-giving communities with God. The question is, have we settled for merely attending when God actually invites us to be culture makers. In reality, it seems we are an integral part of the plan.
We are TRUE COMMUNITY
WE ARE GOSPEL-CENTRED
September 16th, 2018 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Matthew 14:22-33 | Theme: This week we launch into the first of our ten DNA Statements. We begin with: We are Gospel-centred … we cling to Jesus and every word of God’s story, daily learning to unchoose alternatives. When Jesus came, he came as the one who heals and forgives, but also as the one who controls nature and humbles demons; it is because of the totality of who Jesus is, that we cling to him.
We are GOSPEL-CENTRED

DON’T STOP NOW: DON’T STOP SHORT
September 2nd, 2018 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Hebrews 11:32-40 | Theme: God regularly beckons us to keep moving forward in faith. A faith that sustains us, however, is one that trusts in who God is, not one that trusts in our agenda for God. A faith that sustains us through the struggles, is one that knows that God is preparing something better for us. So don’t stop now!
Don’t Stop Short
DON’T STOP NOW: DON’T STOP BELIEVING
August 26th, 2018 | Pastor Darren Young
Scripture: Mark 8: 22 – 30 | Theme: God is not finished. We do not always understand God’s
